Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 1245 PM EDT. * At 1122 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 22 nm east of Vilano Beach, or 23 nm east of Saint Augustine, moving northwest at 20 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Dorothy Louise Barge, Palm Valley, Guana River State Park, Saint Johns Lighted Buoy, and Jacksonville Beach. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts.
