Periods of showers and windy conditions will continue through Saturday as the northeasterly wind event continues. Thunder is also possible, though mainly just a slight chance. Rain chances do drop a bit Saturday, especially towards the latter half of the event period as broad low pressure forming east of the region pulls away to the northeast. This will shift the wind towards more of a drier northerly direction for Saturday Night and into Sunday as well as subsiding the breezy conditions to a certain extent. Sunday certainly looks like the more favorable day based on both expected rainfall and your wind thresholds. However, still expecting sustained winds around 13-18 mph throughout the event on Sunday, as well as fairly frequent gusts to around 25 mph. We can certainly provide an update tomorrow if needed.
