Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
152 AM EST Fri Jan 10 2025

.SYNOPSIS...

Breezy northerly winds will shift to northeasterly this morning,
with winds then veering to southeasterly during the afternoon
hours as low pressure center migrates eastward along the northern
Gulf coast while gradually strengthening. Southerly winds will
then quickly strengthen this evening, with Small Craft Advisory
conditions overspreading our local waters early in the evening and
Gale Conditions developing offshore before midnight. Low pressure
will then pivot northeastward across the Georgia and South
Carolina coastal plain tonight, with showers developing ahead of
this storm system`s cold front overnight as winds shift to
southwesterly. The cold front will cross our area during the
predawn and early morning hours, with winds abruptly shifting to
west-northwesterly as rainfall decreases in coverage towards noon.
Winds and seas will gradually diminish by Saturday evening as
high pressure builds over the southeastern states. Another Arctic
cold front will then sweep across our local waters on Monday
evening, with another round of showers possible ahead of this
front from Sunday night through Monday afternoon.
