Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
224 PM CST Wed Nov 6 2024

.DISCUSSION...Patchy light fog will be possible tonight and early
tomorrow morning in the southwest and across portions of the Pine
Belt. Scattered showers and t-storms will be possible across our
northern fire districts due to the stalled frontal boundary across
central MS. Fire danger not be a concern through the late week
thanks to RHs above critical thresholds and recent rain. Current
guidance on the tropical system in the Gulf has trended weaker in
the west and farther west in the northern Gulf. Rain chances will
start to increase Friday as a sfc low and a associated cold front
lingers over the region heading into the weekend.
