Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
220 PM CDT Sun Mar 9 2025

.DISCUSSION...Winds will be northeasterly shifting northwesterly
throughout the period, in response to a front that has stalled out
off the coast of Mississippi. Most zones have seen wetting rains
yesterday and today. Fog potential can`t be ruled out especially
during the hours before sunrise, but low chance remains for
widespread or dense fog. The aforementioned wetting rains & light
winds will result in limited fire danger into the following work
week.
