...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Louisiana...Mississippi...Arkansas...

  Mississippi River At Vicksburg affecting Madison, Claiborne,
  Warren, Tensas and Jefferson Counties.

  Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Wilkinson, Concordia and
  Adams Counties.

  Mississippi River Near Greenville affecting Issaquena, East
  Carroll, Chicot and Washington Counties.

  Mississippi River Near Arkansas City affecting Desha, Chicot,
  Washington and Bolivar Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY, MAY 01...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Vicksburg.

* WHEN...Until Thursday, May 01.

* IMPACTS...At 48.0 feet, Culverts in South Vicksburg west of
  Highway 61 South are full. Low lying businesses near the railroad
  begin to take on water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 46.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 48.0
    feet early Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 43.0 feet.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Natchez.

* WHEN...Until Saturday, May 03.

* IMPACTS...At 55.0 feet, Pond Road in Fort Adams is flooded. Eight
  to eleven homes are under water in the township.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 52.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 54.5
    feet early Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 48.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River near Greenville.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday, April 30.

* IMPACTS...At 55.0 feet, Practically all areas between levees are
  flooded. Approximately 50 buildings have water inside them. Water
  enters Farmers Grain terminal building north of the Greenville
  bridge. Electric power is turned off to north and south Lake
  Ferguson Road and Hillman-Logan Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 52.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 53.5
    feet early Tuesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 48.0 feet.

  forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River near Arkansas City.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday, April 29.

* IMPACTS...At 41.0 feet, River cuts off access to the Oakley Grain
  at Yellow Bend.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 40.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 41.5
    feet Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
