Today through Sunday night...Upper level high pressure continues
to prevail over the area today, but a weak short wave will kick
off isolated to scattered storms this afternoon, mainly along and
south of I-20. With temperatures in the mid/upper 90s along with
the very humid airmass, a heat advisory is once again in affect
today. Little will change tomorrow, as upper high pressure remains
over the region, but expect mainly expect isolated thunderstorm
activity. Upper ridging will begin to weaken on Wednesday, but
expect the hot temperatures to continue. Upper ridging will
finally weaken over the area on Thursday, as a weak trough rotates
around the upper ridge. Expect cooler temperatures and an
increased chance for storms on Thursday. Upper troughing will
continue over the area into the weekend, with cooler temperatures
and afternoon storms./15/

All TAF sites are VFR this morning and this will continue outside
of thunderstorms through the period. There will be an increase in
thunderstorm activity this afternoon, especially for sites along
and south of I-20. This could bring tempo MVFR/IFR conditions to
affected sites./15/
