...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER TODAY...

The combination of warm temperatures today from the mid 70s to mid
80s, wind gusts to 25 to 30 mph, and dry air building into the
area will lead to an elevated fire danger late this morning
through early this evening. Minimum afternoon relative humidities
are expected to range between 20 and 30 percent.

Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly, especially in areas of
dried vegetation and crop fields. Extra caution is urged around
any equipment that may cause fire ignition. Brush and grass
burning should be avoided today due to the potential of rapid
spread of any fires that ignite. Care should be taken to avoid
accidentally starting fires, and do not carelessly discard
cigarettes.
