Fire Weather Planning Forecast for the Southern Great Lakes
National Weather Service Northern Indiana
403 AM EDT Mon Sep 30 2024

.DISCUSSION...

There are chances for isolated rain showers or sprinkles this morning
and then again this afternoon, mainly south of US 24 along and east
of Interstate 69. There are chances for showers and isolated
thunderstorms, especially east of Interstate 69 Tuesday afternoon. It
will be dry Wednesday into next Saturday. Minimum afternoon humidity
will range from 45 to 65 percent today and Tuesday, then drop to 35
to 50 percent Wednesday into Saturday, driest west of US 31. A cold
front moves from west to east across the area on Tuesday, which will
lead to stronger northwest winds gusting to around 25 mph at times
through the early evening. Winds are light outside of that period.
High temperatures will range from 67 to 78 degrees through next
weekend, coldest on Wednesday behind the cold front. Highs that day
will only be in the upper 60s and low 70s.
