Fire Weather Planning Forecast for the Southern Great Lakes
National Weather Service Northern Indiana
434 AM EDT Tue Oct 1 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A cold front will cross the forecast area from west to east today,
starting near Lake Michigan this morning and exiting out of northwest
Ohio by early this evening. Humid, foggy conditions with nearly calm
winds this morning will give way to gusty northwest winds and falling
humidity behind the front. There are chances for rain showers, with
the best potential along and east of Interstate 69. Thunderstorms are
also possible by late afternoon, mainly east of Interstate 69. Winds
diminish once again overnight, and dry conditions take over through
the weekend. Minimum afternoon humidities will be in the 35 to 50
percent range beyond today, with high temperatures in the 60s and
70s.
