  Wabash River at Mount Carmel.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Indiana...Illinois...

  Wabash River at Riverton.

.The Wabash River is expected to pass below moderate flood stage
Friday at Mount Carmel. The last of the flooding, on the lower White
and lower Wabash, may end this weekend, however significant rainfall
over the weekend could both lengthen the amount of time in flood as
well as redevelop flooding in areas where it has already ended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  the Wabash River at Riverton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:00 PM EDT Thursday /11:00 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage
    was 15.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage this
    afternoon to 11.5 feet Saturday evening. It will then rise
    above flood stage Monday afternoon to 16.8 feet Friday, April
    25. It will fall below flood stage again Saturday, April 26.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Mount Carmel.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Relocation to higher ground of cattle and
  some farm equipment is necessary.  Agricultural losses are near
  100 percent in areas that are not protected by levees.  Extensive
  lowland flooding in western Gibson County Indiana.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:00 PM EDT Thursday /11:00 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage
    was 26.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 12:00 PM EDT Thursday /11:00 AM CDT Thursday/ was
    28.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Hazleton.

* WHEN...Until late Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, In agricultural season, extensive flooding
  of bottomlands and some of the higher bottomlands is in progress.
  High water surrounds residents in river cabins.  Oil fields and
  local roads flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - There is no current observed data.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late
    Saturday morning to 11.4 feet Monday evening. It will then
    rise above flood stage to 16.2 feet Thursday, April 24. It
    will fall below flood stage again Friday, April 25.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY, APRIL 25...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.

* WHEN...Until Friday, April 25.

* IMPACTS...At 21.3 feet, State Road 257 south of Washington began
  to flood during May 2008 after local rains of more than an inch on
  very wet soils with Petersburg at 21.3 feet and rising and Shoals
  at 15.5 feet and rising.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:30 PM EDT Thursday /11:30 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage
    was 21.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 12:30 PM EDT Thursday /11:30 AM CDT Thursday/ was
    23.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
