...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

  Wabash River at Covington.

  Wabash River at Lafayette.

  Wabash River at Montezuma.

.Prior rainfall has brought minor flooding to parts of the Wabash
River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind.

The next statement should be issued late tonight by around 115 AM
EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Covington.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Low agricultural lands begin to flood.
  Backyard flooding of cottages on right bank starts a short
  distance upstream of gage.  Critical stage of Young-Neal Levee is
  reached.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 16.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:45 AM EDT Wednesday was 16.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this afternoon and continue falling and remain below
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette.

* WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Nuisance flooding of a couple of low
  agricultural fields begins in far western part of Tippecanoe
  County.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 11.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:30 AM EDT Wednesday was 12.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    this afternoon and continue falling and remain below flood
    stage.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along
  the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of
  Montezuma begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 14.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this afternoon to a crest of 14.1 feet this evening. It will
    then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
