Total snow accumulations in excess of 5 inches north of I-70...and greater than 8 inches along and north of a Macomb to Bloomington line. * WHERE...All of central Illinois along and north of I-70. * WHEN...From late Friday night through late Saturday night. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
