...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN MENARD...
NORTHWESTERN CHRISTIAN...CENTRAL SANGAMON...SOUTHEASTERN CASS AND
NORTHEASTERN MORGAN COUNTIES THROUGH 1215 PM CDT...

At 1138 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Pleasant Plains, or 9 miles southwest of Petersburg, moving southeast
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Springfield, Chatham, Sherman, Rochester, Riverton, Ashland, Pleasant
Plains, Dawson, Buffalo, Tallula, Illinois State Fairgrounds, Abraham
Lincoln Capital Airport, Jerome, Southern View, Leland Grove,
Grandview, Spaulding, Clear Lake, Curran, and Salisbury.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 55 between mile markers 87 and 103.
 Interstate 72 between mile markers 89 and 113.
