Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
226 PM CDT Thu Apr 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A slow moving frontal boundary will gradually push across central
Illinois Friday evening through the weekend. Breezy south to
southwest winds will be in place Friday with gusts of 30 to 40 mph
most of the day, strongest across portions of east central
Illinois. Friday will start off dry but precip chances will
increase from the northwest through the latter part of the day
with rain likely during the evening and overnight hours and
producing heavy rain for portions of the area. Additional showers
and storms are expected through the weekend as the frontal
boundary stalls over the region.
