Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
232 AM CST Sat Nov 9 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Showers will spread eastward into central Illinois during this afternoon
and evening, then diminish from the west late tonight into Sunday morning.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible tonight especially east of the IL river.
Rainfall amounts between a quarter and half inch are expected, with locally
higher amounts near the Wabash river. East to southeast winds of 10 to 15 mph
today, will become breezy southwest by Sunday afternoon, gusting 20 to 30 mph
north of I-70. Poor ventilation rates today over the area, will improve to
good conditions on Sunday due to stronger transport winds and higher mixing
heights.
