.DISCUSSION...
Between high pressure shifting south across the Tennessee Valley
and a strong area of low pressure sinking into the Great Lakes
region, the pressure gradient will continue to tighten across the
area this evening, resulting in increasing west winds, with frequent
gusts around 40 to 45 mph expected. Combined with modest mixing heights,
this will result in good ventilation. However, burning might
become difficult to control given such strong winds this evening.
In addition, a couple rain/snow showers may develop (20 percent
chance) north of roughly a Macomb to Robinson line this evening.
Tomorrow into Friday, mixing heights will lower and transport winds
weaken to result in less favorable ventilation.
