...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL FLORENCE...
SOUTHWESTERN DILLON AND NORTHWESTERN MARION COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM
EDT...

At 418 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Sellers, or 9 miles northwest of Marion, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Dillon, Latta, Sellers, Floydale, Fork, Zion, Blue Brick, Smithboro,
Mars Bluff, Oak Grove, Francis Marion University, and Mcleod Medical
Center.

This includes Interstate 95 in South Carolina between mile markers
171 and 174, and between mile markers 176 and 186.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
