...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20
  nm...
  Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20
  nm...

At 207 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near Shallotte River Inlet Sea
Buoy to near Sherman Wreck, moving northeast at 35 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Little River Offshore Reef, Jungle, Sherman Wreck, Little River Reef,
Lockwood Folly Inlet Sea Buoy, Shallotte River Inlet Sea Buoy, Yaupon
Beach, and Caswell Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These storms may intensify and produce waterspouts.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. If caught on the
open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and
your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets.
