For the Coastal Flood Watch, one to two feet of inundation above ground level possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...The lower Cape Fear River including downtown Wilmington. * WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 10 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Friday. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from Friday morning through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...For the Coastal Flood Watch, portions of Battleship Road and USS North Carolina Road are likely impassable. In downtown Wilmington, much of Water Street from Orange Street to Red Cross Street is flooded. The lowest portions of Water Street between Princess and Orange Streets are impassable. Portions of River Road and adjacent residential roads, south of River Road Park, may become impassable. Flooding of residential areas along River Road expands. Route 133 at Little Mallory Creek is flooded and flooding begins at Old River Road. Flooding of US 421 Truck near Carolina Beach Road worsens. US 421 North at USS North Carolina Road begins to flood. Check with local officials for any road closures or impacts. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Affected areas listed are based on average tide conditions. Additional locations may experience flooding during periods of heavy rainfall, high winds, or other factors. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
