...A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT PARTS OF BUTLER...HARPER...
COWLEY...SUMNER...SEDGWICK...AND KINGMAN COUNTIES...

HAZARDS...A band of heavy snow which can rapidly reduce visibility to
less than a quarter of a mile.

LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 236 PM CST, a band of heavy snow was along
a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Latham to near Belle
Plaine to 6 miles southwest of Kingman and moving south at 10 MPH.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
Wichita, Derby, Arkansas City, Winfield, Andover, Haysville, Augusta,
Wellington, Mulvane, Goddard, Rose Hill, Kingman, Clearwater,
Anthony, Cheney, Douglass, Belle Plaine, Harper, Conway Springs, and
Caldwell.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 0 and 10.
 Interstate 35 between Mile Markers 1 and 59.

SAFETY INFO...
Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this band of
heavy snow. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads
may lead to accidents.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time to reach your destination.
