...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL SEDGWICK COUNTY THROUGH
545 PM CDT...

At 510 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Maize, moving south at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wichita, Derby, Haysville, Park City, Valley Center, Mulvane,
Goddard, Maize, Clearwater, Colwich, Downtown Wichita, West Wichita,
Eisenhower National Airport, Mcconnell Air Force Base, South Wichita,
Oaklawn, and Lake Afton.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 0 and 16.
 Interstate 35 between Mile Markers 36 and 47.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
