Clear conditions prevailed over much of western Kansas while
clouds and a few sprinkles were impacting southeast Kansas early
this morning. Predawn temperatures ranged from the low to mid 20s
in western Kansas to the lower 40s in southeast Kansas. Light and
variable winds were common in western Kansas while light northeast
winds were impacting southeast Kansas.

Seasonably cool weather is anticipated today with clearing from
west to east. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to top out
in the mid and upper 50s for much of the region although far
southeast Kansas will see highs in the lower 50s.

High pressure will move south over the area tonight. Light winds
and mostly clear conditions will allow for a chilly night. Low
temperatures are expected to fall into the 20s and 30s. Freeze
watches and warnings are in effect for much of eastern Kansas.
