Showers and rumbles of thunder dissipated overnight over northern
Kansas as mostly clear skies prevailed over the rest of the state.
Overnight lows in the upper 50s and low 60s were observed across the
Sunflower State as persistent southerly winds gusted up to 30 mph in
central and northeast portions of Kansas.

Another warm day is in store for the Central Plains today, as
afternoon highs are expected to reach the upper 70s and 80s from
South Dakota to the Texas Panhandle. Partly cloudy skies are
expected throughout the day alongside breezy southerly winds with
gusts up to 35 mph across parts of Nebraska. Chances for rain and
thunder will return to portions of Oklahoma and Arkansas later this
afternoon.

Lows in the 50s and lower 60s are anticipated for tonight under
mostly cloudy skies. Chances for rain and light snow are forecast
for portions of northern Nebraska, though most of Kansas will remain
dry overnight.
