Surface high pressure shifted to the east tonight. Overnight
temperatures ranged from 10 degrees to the mid 20s across Kansas.
Winds were light and variable. A few locations had patchy fog.

A low pressure system is going to move through the Central Plains
today. This will bring snow with a period of a rain and snow mix
from southwest Kansas to southeast Nebraska this afternoon. Please
check the latest winter weather headlines for further details.
Daytime high temperatures are forecast in the low to mid 30s.
Gusty north winds are expected in the High Plains with sustained
speeds of 20 to 30 mph and potential gusts to 45 mph. Cloud cover
should gradually increase across the Plains.

Snow will continue in the evening and overnight hours then
gradually end from west to east as the system pushes to the east;
the cloud cover should do the same. Accumulations should range
from a dusting to five inches with the highest values in Arkansas.
Low temperatures are forecast to fall to the mid single digits in
eastern Colorado to the upper 20s in eastern Oklahoma and
southern Missouri. Northerly winds are expected behind the system
at speeds of 10 to 20 mph.
