Mostly cloudy skies were observed over portions of eastern Nebraska
and Kansas early this morning as the rest of the area remained
mostly clear. Low temperatures in the 50s and 60s prevailed from the
Dakotas to the Red River Valley alongside largely southerly winds.

High temperatures are forecast in the 70s and 80s throughout the
Central Plains under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. South
winds gusting to 25 mph are possible this afternoon from the
Oklahoma Panhandle to central Kansas and into eastern Nebraska. With
the exception of a handful of late-morning showers in central and
eastern Kansas, most of the region should remain dry.

Low temperatures tonight in the 40s and 50s are expected in South
Dakota and Nebraska, while values in the 60s are largely expected
across Kansas and Oklahoma. A few late showers and thunderstorms
will be possible across portions of eastern Nebraska and Kansas
while the rest of the region is anticipated to remain dry. Light
south winds will prevail across the Heartland heading into Friday
morning.
