Quiet weather encompassed Kansas overnight, with relatively light
south winds. Under increasing cloud cover, predawn temperatures were
in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Spotty hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms are expected across
Kansas this afternoon and evening, as deep layer moisture increases
from the south, and a storm system approaches from the west. Chances
will likely be highest later this evening and overnight over
portions of central and north-central Kansas. Widespread severe
weather is not expected, although the strongest activity will be
capable of strong wind gusts and heavy rainfall. Forecast high
temperatures today are in the 80s to low 90s, with forecast lows
tonight in the 60s and 70s.
