Cooler temperatures and cloudy skies prevailed across central and
eastern Kansas today. Afternoon temperatures ranged from the 50s
in central Kansas to the middle 60s over southeast Kansas.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more numerous
along and just north of a stalled out frontal boundary for
tonight, as a upper level weather system moves from western Kansas
into Nebraska. Some of the storms could become severe with large
hail and damaging winds across southern Missouri into eastern
Oklahoma. Some of this activity could also produce heavy rainfall.
Overnight lows will range from the colder 20s in western Nebraska
to the mild low 60s over eastern Oklahoma.


The stalled out frontal boundary will migrate a bit northward on
Saturday with more rounds of showers and storms moving northeast
across eastern Oklahoma, southeast Kansas, and much of Missouri. A
few of the storms could reach severe levels over eastern Oklahoma,
northwest Arkansas, and southern Missouri Saturday afternoon.
Daytime highs will be in the 50s over Kansas with warmer mid 70s
in eastern Oklahoma.
