Showers and weak thunderstorms made their way through portions of
eastern Kansas and Missouri early this morning along a pre-frontal
boundary moving through the area. Overnight low temperatures ranged
from the low 40s across South Dakota, Nebraska, and western Kansas
to the 50s and 60s across central and eastern Kansas as well as
Oklahoma.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms will largely span from central
Oklahoma through southeast Kansas and into Missouri. Widespread
severe weather is not anticipated at this time, though a few strong
to marginally severe storms will be possible later this afternoon
and evening. High temperatures will range from the 50s across South
Dakota and western Nebraska to the 60s and 70s across Kansas and
Oklahoma. Strong northwest winds will follow in the wake of a cold
front passing through today, with gusts in the 35 to 45 mph
possible throughout Kansas and Nebraska.

Rain chances will depart the area later this evening into the
overnight hours, giving way to relatively light winds and clear
skies throughout the Heartland. Low temperatures will range from the
upper 20s and 30s across South Dakota and western portions of
Nebraska and Kansas to the 40s and low 50s across the rest of Kansas
and Oklahoma.
