Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
331 AM CST Sat Nov 29 2025

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers moved eastward across
central and eastern Kansas last night. Predawn temperatures were
in the 30s and and 40s with overcast skies.

A weather system will move eastward across the central plains
today, bringing accumulating snowfall to Nebraska, Iowa, and
northern parts of Kansas and Missouri this morning. Meanwhile
temperatures will be warmer south of these areas where scattered
rain showers are expected. A cold front will race southward
across the Heartland with northwest winds increasing after the
frontal passage. Wind speeds of 20 to 35 mph with wind gusts of 45
to 50 mph will impact much of the region. As a result, numerous
wind advisories have been hoisted over the area. Daytime highs
will range from the cold 20s in Nebraska, to the middle 50s in
central Oklahoma.

Surface high pressure will build southward across middle America
tonight with cold and dry weather expected. The combination of
north winds and much colder air spreading southward will drop the
wind chill readings below zero across Nebraska, with single
digits and teens expected elsewhere across the region. Overnight
lows will range from near zero degrees in western Nebraska, to the
mid 20s in central Oklahoma.
