Hit-or-miss showers impacted eastern Kansas today, as an upper
low moved southeast over Mid-America. Skies were mostly cloudy
over the eastern half of the state, which held temperatures in the
upper 60s and 70s. Meanwhile, full sunshine over the western half
of Kansas warmed temperatures well into the 80s.

Dry weather will encompass Kansas tonight, as high pressure
settles south over the region. Can`t rule out some patchy fog by
late tonight. Forecast low temperatures are in the 50s to near 60
degrees.

A strong cold front approaching from the north will be the focus
for scattered thunderstorms by mid to late afternoon Wednesday. A
few severe thunderstorms are possible, capable of large hail and
damaging winds. Forecast high temperatures are in the 80s, with
90s over portions of central and southwest Kansas.
