Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
510 PM CST Fri Feb 7 2025

Cloudy skies have persisted across eastern Kansas today while
western and portions of central Kansas have been able to clear.
This allowed temperatures to warm into the 50s across
western Kansas while the remainder of the state remained mostly in
the 40s. Clouds are expected to expand northwestward tonight with
patchy fog and drizzle possible across the eastern two thirds of
the state. This increased cloud cover will help to keep
temperatures a bit warmer overnight with low temperatures dropping
into the upper teens across northeastern Colorado to the lower 40s
across southwestern Missouri.

A cold front will drop south through the Central Plains Saturday
morning which bring an end to the fog and drizzle from north to
south. This front will also erode the low clouds leading to
sunnier skies for Saturday afternoon. However, this front will
also be responsible for stronger northerly winds with sustained
winds of 20 to 25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph.
