...River Statement For The Tennessee River at Florence...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise
rapidly on the Tennessee River at Florence. Although it is not
expected to reach flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands may
still occur. If additional rainfall occurs, the river could still
reach Flood Stage.

The Tennessee River at Florence.
* At 10:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 16.8 feet.
* Action stage is 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall to 15.9 feet this evening. It will
  then rise to 16.4 feet just after midnight tonight. It will fall to
  12.6 feet early Monday morning. It will then rise to 12.8 feet
  early Monday afternoon. It will fall again and remain below flood
  stage.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.


All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
available at www.weather.gov.
