...River Statement For The Tennessee River at Florence...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise
rapidly on the Tennessee River at Florence. Although it is not
expected to reach flood stage, the river will remain in Action Stage
until at least Wednesday afternoon. Some nuisance flooding of
lowlands may still occur. If additional rainfall occurs, the river
could still reach Flood Stage.

The Tennessee River at Florence.
* At 10:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 16.0 feet.
* Action stage is 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will likely remain in Action Stage through at
  least Wednesday afternoon, cresting near 17.0 feet later tonight
  into Monday morning.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.


All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
available at www.weather.gov.
