Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
133 AM CDT Sun Jun 30 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Medium to high (40-75%) chances of showers and thunderstorms are
forecast today as a cold front moves over the region. However,
activity will quickly diminish this evening. No rain is then
anticipated through Monday. Drier air will also filter into the
Tennessee Valley in the wake of the front for Monday, but minimum
relative humidity values will be above critical thresholds (in the
mid 30s to around 40 percent range). Mixing heights will reach
between 4000-7000 ft early this afternoon and between 3500-4500 ft
Monday afternoon. Good daytime dispersions are also forecast both
today and Monday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog is possible over
northeastern Alabama and portions of southern middle Tennessee
early this morning.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
