Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
115 AM CDT Wed Aug 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Low chances (15-30%) of showers and storms exist today mainly
along and east of I-65, with low to medium (20-40%) chances for
the same areas on Thursday. The highest chances are expected over
northeast Alabama. Minimum relative humidity values will therefore
remain well above critical thresholds through late week. Light
(below 10 mph) east to northeast transport winds are forecast both
today and Thursday. Mixing heights are expected to generally
reach between 3300-5000 feet this afternoon and 3800-6000 feet
Thursday afternoon. Lastly, fair daytime dispersions are
anticipated both this afternoon and Thursday afternoon.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog is possible
during the late night/early morning hours through at least
Thursday.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
