Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
210 PM CST Wed Nov 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Persistent clouds and greater amounts of atmospheric moisture
have helped to alleviate critical fire conditions with higher
relative humidity today. Dry weather should continue into early
Thursday morning. Another system approaching from the west will
bring lower end chances of showers and maybe a few thunderstorms
late Thursday morning into the evening. Higher chances of showers
and thunderstorms are forecast on Friday. Wetting rainfall amounts
will range from a few hundredths to a tenth of an inch on
Thursday, and around one quarter of an inch Friday.

While Generally Poor smoke dispersion rates are forecast across
northeast Alabama on Thursday, Fair dispersion rates are expected
elsewhere. Fair rates are expected areawide on Friday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy late night fog is
possible, mainly in sheltered valley locations. Any fog that forms
should dissipate shortly after daybreak.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Is not forecast at this time.
