Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
1052 AM CDT Tue Oct 14 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Dry weather should continue across Northern Alabama, as high
pressure at the surface and aloft control the general weather
situation. High temperatures later today should range from the
mid/upper 70s higher terrain, to the lower 80s warmer valleys.
Minimum afternoon relative humidity should fall just below 30
percent briefly in the afternoon. Light northerly winds at
daybreak, should become N-NE at 5-10 mph in the morning, with some
gusts up to 20 mph this afternoon. Good smoke dispersion rates
are forecast today.

Fog potential over the next few days: Winds should keep even
patchy fog from forming.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None are expected today.
Increasing low level moisture on Wednesday should keep any fire
weather concerns at bay.
