.DISCUSSION...
A storm system moving along the Gulf Coast will bring wintry
precipitation across Northern Alabama today and this evening. This
will result in snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain across the
area. Total liquid amounts of rainfall should range from 1/2 of an
inch to one inch. The precipitation should end from west to east
this evening. Dry weather is forecast this weekend into much of
next week.
Light winds at the surface and aloft should produce Generally
Poor smoke dispersion rates over NW Alabama, with Fair rates
elsewhere.
Fog potential over the next few days: Areas of fog and freezing
fog are possible tonight and again Saturday night.
Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Is not forecast at this time.
