Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
1210 PM CDT Sun Mar 9 2025

.DISCUSSION...
A low pressure system moving across the region will bring
increased chances for rainfall to the area today, but
especially tonight. Rainfall will tend to be light however,
with amounts largely under 0.50 inch. The best chances for
wetting rains overnight will be in southern portions of the
area, which would include the Bankhead Nat`l Forest. There is
also a slight chance for thunder tonight, mainly near and after
midnight. Dispersion conditions will increase for Monday and
Tuesday with deeper mixing and sufficient transport winds.

Fog potential over the next few days: Not expected

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Relative humidity values
may fall to around 25 percent on Monday afternoon, but sfc
winds around 5-10 mph and low KBDI values (< 300) will prevent
Red Flag conditions.
