Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
234 PM CDT Mon Oct 13 2025

.DISCUSSION...

High temperatures on Tuesday should climb into the mid 70s to
lower 80s. This will drop afternoon relative humidity values to
between 30 and 35 percent. Northerly 20 foot winds around 10 mph
are expected with gusts up to 20 mph in the afternoon. Mixing
heights between 4000 and 4500 feet are expected. Northeasterly
transport winds around 20 mph are expected. Good smoke dispersion
rates are forecast today.

20 foot winds from the northeast will be lighter on Wednesday,
mainly around 5 10 mph. Northerly transport winds around 10 mph
are forecast as well. Mixing heights will not climb above 4000
feet. Due to lighter winds and lower mixing heights, dispersion
will be fair. Afternoon minimum relative humidity values between
35 and 40 percent is forecast.

Fog potential over the next few days: None is expected with
stronger winds in the forecast.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None are expected at this
time.
