Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

A cold front boundary located NW of the area is forecast to sweep
across Northern Alabama in the late afternoon and evening. This
front will bring chances of showers and thunderstorms this
afternoon and evening. The better chances for wetting rainfall
will be more to the east, with locally heavy downpours and strong
gusty winds possible. Shower activity should end from west to east
in the evening. Dry conditions are expected from the overnight
into Independence Day.

Lower afternoon RH values are expected Wednesday and Thursday,
ranging around 50 percent. Good smoke dispersion rates are also
expected Wednesday and Thursday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Not forecast at this time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not expected at this time.
