Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
1049 AM CDT Fri Jul 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Daily thunderstorm chances are forecast through early next week,
however, confidence in wetting rains at fire weather sites is low.
Wetting rains will likely occur somewhere, but unfortunately
coverage of thunderstorms will be scattered and unorganized in
nature. Therefore, wetting rains cannot be completely ruled out
despite not being in the official forecast. Otherwise, dispersions
are forecast to be good with mixing heights ~8000 ft or greater
as well as transport winds around 7-14 mph.

Fog potential over the next few days: Low to medium chance of patchy
fog tonight into Saturday morning, especially in areas that receive
rainfall this afternoon.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
