...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL TULARE COUNTY
THROUGH 1115 AM PDT...

At 1049 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 16
miles east of Three Rivers, or 29 miles west of Lone Pine, moving
north at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hockett Meadow Ranger Station, Bearpaw Ranger Station, Marble Fork
Kaweah, Little Five Lakes Ranger Station, Mineral King Ranger
Station, Atwell Mill Campground, Chagoopa Plateau, Cold Springs
Campground, Pear Lake Ranger Station, Farewell Gap, Redwood Meadow
Patrol Cabin, and Wolverton Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
