SOUTHWESTERN MARIPOSA... SOUTHWESTERN TUOLUMNE...SOUTHWESTERN
MADERA...NORTHWESTERN KERN... KINGS...MERCED...SOUTHWESTERN TULARE
AND SOUTHWESTERN FRESNO COUNTIES THROUGH 630 AM PDT...

At 603 AM PDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar was tracking a
line of thunderstorms with frequent lightning along a line extending
from 9 miles west of Raisin City to 14 miles west of Cantua Creek.
Movement was north at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. Frequent cloud-
         to-ground lightning with little rainfall.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fresno, Merced, Madera, Atwater, Los Banos, Lemoore, Chowchilla,
Avenal, Kerman, Coalinga, Livingston, Mendota, Firebaugh, Delhi,
Lanare, Madera Acres, Hilmar-Irwin, South Dos Palos, Parkwood, and
Parksdale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
