.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions prevail today. Abundant rain and high elevation
snow arrives Monday afternoon, and a 5 to 15 percent chance
of thunderstorms exists for Monday evening into Tuesday. The
bulk of the precipitation occurs from Monday evening until
late Tuesday afternoon, and a Flood Watch is in effect for the
lower Sierra and foothills, including the recent burn scars.
Rain and snow tapers off Wednesday, and dry conditions return
Thursday with a warming trend into the weekend. Winds will
shift from northwest today to south Monday and Tuesday, and
speeds also will pick up with this storm.
