.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A surface ridge of high pressure over the islands will move east
Thursday as a cold front approaches and passes across the waters
surrounding Kauai. The front will stall near Oahu early Friday.
High pressure building north of the islands will support moderate
trade winds from Friday through the weekend. Trades will strengthen
early next week as high pressure reestablishes a position
northeast of the islands.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-


.TONIGHT...South southwest winds 15 to 15 knots across west
waters...elsewhere, south southeast winds. Seas 5 to 8 feet. Wave
Detail: Northwest 6 feet at 12 seconds. Isolated showers.
.THURSDAY...Front approaching and passing Kauai. West winds 25 to
30 knots around Kauai. Elsewhere, south winds 10 to 15 knots.
Seas 5 to 7 feet. Wave Detail: Northwest 7 feet at 13 seconds and
northwest 3 feet at 5 seconds. Isolated showers, isolated
thunderstorms over west waters. Winds and seas higher in and near
thunderstorms.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...Front stalling near Oahu. Northeast winds 20 to
25 knots around Kauai. Elsewhere, east northeast winds 10 to 15
knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet. Wave Detail: Northwest 10 feet at 13
seconds and northeast 3 feet at 5 seconds. Scattered showers.
.FRIDAY...East northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet.
Scattered showers.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet.
Isolated showers.
.SATURDAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet. Isolated
