Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A high pressure system passing just north of the Hawaiian Islands
will keep gentle to fresh trade winds in the forecast into Monday.
A shallow cold front approaching and then moving into the islands
on Tuesday and Wednesday will produce more variable winds along
and east of the frontal band. Northwesterly winds will build in
behind the front as it passes through each island.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY...

.TODAY THROUGH MONDAY...East northeast winds 20 to 25 knots. Seas
8 to 10 feet. Wave Detail: Northwest 6 to 8 feet at 12 to 14
seconds and east northeast 5 feet at 5 to 6 seconds.
.MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY...Northeast winds 10 to 20 knots. Seas
5 to 7 feet. Wave Detail: Northwest 5 feet at 12 seconds and east
northeast 4 feet at 5 seconds. Isolated showers.
.TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...Variable 5 to 15 knots, becoming
northwest 5 to 15 knots by Wednesday afternoon. Seas 6 to 9 feet.
Isolated to scattered showers. A slight chance of thunderstorms
on Wednesday near Kauai and Oahu.
.THURSDAY...West winds 15 to 20 knots, becoming west southwest
10 to 15 knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet. Scattered showers. A slight chance of
thunderstorms near Molokai Lanai Maui and the Big Island.
