Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
High pressure far northeast of the area will hold into Monday producing
moderate easterly trade winds. A low will develop northwest of the
state during the first half of next week shifting winds out of the
south. The low will also bring an increase in probability of
thunderstorms for the western waters.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-


.TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT...East winds 10 to 205 knots. Seas 5
to 6 feet. Wave Detail: East 4 feet at 6 seconds and north 3 to 4
feet at 10 to 11 seconds. Scattered showers.
.MONDAY...East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 5 feet. Scattered
showers.
.MONDAY NIGHT...East southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 4 to
5 feet. Scattered showers.
.TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...Around Kauai and Oahu waters, south
southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Elsewhere, southeast winds 10 to
15 knots, strengthening to 15 to 20 knots at night and into
Wednesday. Seas 4 to 6 feet. Scattered showers with a slight
chance of thunderstorms.
