A typical trade wind pattern, moderately breezy at times, will
prevail with upper ridging waxing and waning near Hawaii over the
next week. Upper troughing digs into the Papahanaumokuakea Marine
National Monument today/Sunday and Monday before ridging builds
back in aloft to the northwest late this week into next weekend.
An easterly could brush by the Island of Hawai`i on Tuesday.
However, the ITCZ remains safely south of the main Hawaiian
Islands. The overall pattern supports a typical pattern with drier
conditions and not much in the way of rainfall except for typical
windward and mauka areas. Guidance shows good agreement on the
overall setup through the period.
