The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...
  Galveston Bay...

* Until 1115 AM CST.

* At 942 AM CST, a front capable of producing strong gusty winds and
  isolated waterspouts was located 16 nm west of Crystal Bay, or 29
  nm northwest of Eagle Point, moving southeast at around 30 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts of around 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small
           craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Galveston Bay Entrance, Galveston Bay, Burnet Bay, Offatts Bayou,
  Galveston Pier 21, Trinity Bay, Galveston Causeway, Mitchell Bay,
  Bastrop Bay, Christmas Bay, Crystal Bay, East Galveston Bay,
  Galveston Ship Channel, West Bay, Scott Bay, Tabbs Bay, Drum Bay,
  North Jetty, Smith Point, and San Luis Pass.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous
seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.
