...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold temperatures with wind chills possibly
  down to 10 degrees.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Texas.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST this morning.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to low wind chills can lead to
  hypothermia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
