...FREEZE WARNING FOR A HARD FREEZE IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT
TO 10 AM CST MONDAY...

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
  as 10-15 degrees. For the Freeze Warning, Hard Freeze with
  temperatures below 25 for several hours expected.

* WHERE...Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Polk, San
  Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, and Washington Counties.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until noon CST Monday. For
  the Freeze Warning, from midnight tonight to 10 AM CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged
  exposure. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to

* WHERE...Bolivar Peninsula, Brazoria Islands, Galveston Island, and
  Matagorda Islands.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until noon CST Monday. For
  the Wind Advisory, until 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Wind
  chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
