For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Freeport to Matagorda Ship Channel TX out 20
NM...
Matagorda Bay...

At 407 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 nm northwest of Tabs Buoy W to 9 nm north of
Matagorda Island 557 to near Matagorda Ship Channel to near Port
Oconnor, moving south at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Matagorda Island 557 and Matagorda Ship Channel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
