946 FZUS54 KHGX 070605 CWFHGX Coastal Waters Forecast for Texas National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX 1205 AM CST Sun Dec 7 2025 Upper Texas coastal waters from High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60 nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. GMZ300-071915- 1205 AM CST Sun Dec 7 2025 .Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. Areas of fog, becoming dense at times, will continue in the Bays and near shore waters through daybreak with patchy fog possible lingering into the morning hours. Light onshore flow will persist through the morning, then a cold front will push through during the afternoon ushering in strong northerly winds. Small Craft Advisories are in effect during the late afternoon into Monday morning. Occasional gusts to gale force cannot be ruled out offshore in the open Gulf. Winds and seas should gradually improve by Monday afternoon, with onshore flow returning by Tuesday.
